Mini Magazines a hit with the Kids

Mini Magazines a hit with the Kids

How did our truly passionate gardeners engage with gardening in the first place? The odds are it was as a child, with happy memories of garden projects shared with the adults they loved best. Mum and Dad, Grandma, or even an inspirational teacher or family friend.

Our brand new mini magazines target this opportunity. The aim is to encourage a learning and creative partnership between children and their adults. We can all play a part in creating the next generation of mad keen gardeners by using this wonderful tool, buying mini magazines and getting them into the hands of the children of our customers and our school gardening programmes.

Here’s what Angel has to say, one of our lovely young readers:
“ Dear Sue and Debbie, Thank you so much I have just planted the Blue Forget-Me-Nots you sent me and the cress I got last week have just popped out, I love it! Thank you again so much gardening has always been my hobbie”

Angel goes on to tell us what she has in her garden (note the ownership!) and encloses lovely art as well.

Retailers - you should be looking at your own kids clubs and engagement of children if you aren’t already. We all have a role as mentors and remember kids bring with them adults with money to spend right now!

To get our Mini Magazines for your Garden Centre order from NGINZ, or talk to Debbie Pascoe on if you’ve an idea you want to discuss further.
